- There is flashback with Renji Abarai, Momo Hinamori, and Izuru Kira training during their first years at the Soul Reaper Academy. As the training ends in the real world, the entire class is attacked by huge hollow. It takes out two of the 6th year Shinigami trainees and leaves Shuuhei Hisagi by himself. Renji, Momo, and Kira go to help and manage to save him. They run away but they are surrounded by a group of huge hollows. As the hollows are about to strike, Vice Captain Gin Ichimaru and Captain Sousuke Aizen arrive from Soul Society to lend a hand.
